Who operates this site

This site is operated by Jooule LLC, the New York limited liability company behind Jooule POS, at 41 State Street, Suite 112, Albany, NY 12207, United States.

How the site uses information

• Analytics and advertising follow your choice. The configured tools below load only with the relevant permission, including a valid saved choice. You can choose “Necessary only” and still use the site.
• Fonts are served by us. This site does not load its fonts from a third-party font service.
• Log in and Connect lead to your restaurant. They check the restaurant’s Jooule address with our server, remember its address part on your device after a successful check, and open that restaurant’s manager page. The marketing site does not create a visitor account.
• We handle your demo request. The form details are stored by us and sent through Telegram so we can respond.

Cookies and browser storage

The site uses a cookie and local storage for your language, restaurant address and privacy choices. These functions are separate from permission for analytics or advertising.

Necessary site cookie

Remembers your language after you switch languages or dismiss the language suggestion, for up to 365 days. It is a host-only cookie: it is sent to our server with requests to the current host and is not configured for other subdomains.

Necessary local storage

Saved after you choose. It contains the analytics and advertising choices, timestamp, policy version, tools offered and GPC state at the time. The record is not sent to our server. A choice is valid for 365 days, after which we ask again; the record may remain in the browser until replaced or site data is cleared.

Log in and Connect check the restaurant address with our server. After a successful check, the restaurant-address part is remembered on your device and the browser opens that restaurant’s manager page. There is no programmed expiry: a later address replaces it, and clearing site data removes it. The check does not create a visitor record containing your restaurant address on our server.

We set these cookies to expire two years after the latest measurement hit sent to Google Analytics. Your browser may restrict or remove them sooner.

Google Analytics property settings control how long event-level and user-level data is retained. That setting applies to detailed data in Explorations and funnel reports, not standard aggregated reports. This site’s code does not set that retention period.

If you allow analytics, Google Analytics loads to measure visits and page views. On the thank-you page, our code also sends it a demo-request event with the site edition, US or Israel, without the demo form details. Our site configuration disables Google Signals and advertising-personalization signals, and sets Google’s cookies for the current host. Analytics permission is separate from advertising permission.

Your privacy choices

When there is no valid saved choice, the notice at the bottom of the screen lets you allow the offered tools, choose “Necessary only” or open “Settings”. No analytics or advertising tag loads before that choice. Later visits use your saved choice. You can change it through the privacy-choices link at the bottom of each page.

Withdrawing permission

Saving a refusal updates the consent state of tools already loaded and attempts to remove accessible cookies and local-storage entries belonging to refused tools or vendors no longer configured on the site. On a fresh page load, refused tools do not load.

This does not delete data already sent to vendors or unload software already running on the page. For requests about data a vendor holds, use the contact options in its privacy policy. Reload other open tabs of this site so they read your new choice.

Your choice is valid for 365 days on the device and site where you made it. Expiry, a changed policy version or a newly offered tool requires a new choice. If your browser cannot save the choice, it applies to the current page and you may be asked again on the next page.

With JavaScript disabled, analytics and advertising tools do not load. You can clear site data through your browser settings.

The demo form

When you send the form, we store exactly what it asks for:

• your name, your restaurant’s name, your phone number;
• city & state and email, if you chose to give them;
• the consent sentence you ticked, verbatim, with its version (“I agree that Jooule may call or text me at this number about my request. Text STOP to any message to opt out.” · us-demo-form-2026-08-20) — so the record shows which words you agreed to;
• your IP address and browser identifier (abuse control), the serving host, and a timestamp.

The form is rate-limited by IP and carries a honeypot field; submissions that trip either are not stored. A notification with your name, restaurant, city, phone, email and the time — never your IP, never your browser identifier — is sent to the founder over Telegram (Telegram FZ-LLC, servers outside the US), so we can call you back.

We use what you sent to call or text you back about your request — that is the whole purpose. Text STOP to any message from us and texting stops.

Where the data lives, and for how long

The database runs on a server rented from [Hosting provider and server country — to be confirmed]. The demo-request flow does not automatically delete a request when a demo is booked or declined.

Cookie and local-storage lifetimes are described above. Withdrawing permission does not delete information already sent to a vendor. The actual vendor storage and retention settings still need verification.

Restaurant guests’ data

Jooule POS processes ordering data — menus, orders, payments records, guest phone numbers where guests provide them — on behalf of the restaurants that use it, under separate agreements with those restaurants. For that data the restaurant decides; we process. A data-processing agreement is available to any customer on request.

Your rights

Write to hello@jooule.com to see, correct or delete what you sent us — deletion requests are honoured except where a record must be kept (for example, that you opted out). This site is not directed at children.

Changes

When this page changes, the date at the top changes with it — the date is hand-set and claims a person reviewed the words, never a deployment.
